The Beginning of Forever

Jess and Steve in Rome

A Simple Swipe

Despite having spent our lives just 20 minutes apart, our story began with a simple swipe on Hinge, and quickly turned into something unforgettable. What made it even more special — our families already knew each other. Before we ever matched, our worlds were already connected in ways we hadn't yet discovered.

Best Friends

From our first date, we felt an instant connection. What followed was a relationship filled with laughter, sweetness, and so much joy! From comedy shows and outdoor adventures to time spent with our beloved dogs, Mia and Perry, we grew to consider each other our best friend.

The Spanish Steps

Steven's proposal was a dream. During a trip to Rome, his arrival was a complete surprise, and on the Spanish Steps, he asked Jessica to spend forever with him. Even more meaningful, it was the very place Jessica had once wished, years earlier, that she would get engaged without Steven ever knowing.

Now, we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you in Jamaica — a place that perfectly reflects our love for warmth, adventure, and natural beauty. We can't wait to begin forever together, and with all of you.

Still have questions?

Reach out to Denise at denise@windermerewedding.com

Is this an adults-only event?+
Rockhouse Hotel is an adults-only property due to its stunning but dramatic setting — the resort is built directly into the cliffs above the sea, making it unsuitable for young children. We love your little ones, and we hope this gives you the perfect excuse for a well-deserved grown-up getaway. Come ready to unwind, celebrate, and enjoy paradise — we'll take good care of you!
What should I know about the property?+
Rockhouse Hotel is best suited to independent travelers who are comfortable with cliffs, natural terrain, and stairs throughout the property. Guests should be comfortable navigating steps and uneven paths. The resort's dramatic cliffside setting is part of what makes it so special — we simply want everyone to feel confident and prepared before they arrive.
How do I secure my room?+
To secure your room, please complete the guest information form in the client travel portal. Once submitted, Denise will be in touch to finalize your room booking — simple, seamless, and handled with care. For questions, contact Denise directly at denise@windermerewedding.com or 847-309-9478. Booking deadline is October 1, 2026.
What currency is used in Jamaica?+
The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) is the official currency, but USD is widely accepted at hotels, restaurants, and shops. There's no need to exchange money before your trip. ATMs are available in Negril if needed.
Do I need a passport or visa?+
US citizens need a valid passport to enter Jamaica — no visa is required for stays under 90 days. Your passport must be valid through at least November 16, 2027 (six months after your return date). Check your expiration date now and renew early if needed.
What should I expect weather-wise in May?+
May in Negril is warm and beautiful — temperatures typically hover around 85°F with gentle sea breezes. You may experience brief tropical showers, but these are usually short-lived and just add to the drama. Pack light breathable clothing, sunscreen, and a packable rain jacket just in case.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?+
Fly into Montego Bay (MBJ) and plan for approximately a 90-minute transfer to Rockhouse Hotel. All transfers are coordinated through our wedding planner Denise Bonds — please reach out to her once you've booked your flights to arrange your transport.
What if I'm unable to attend?+
We know a destination wedding asks a lot, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who is making the journey. If you're unable to join us in Jamaica, please know that your love and celebration from afar means just as much to us. You are in our hearts on this day.
When should I RSVP by?+
Please RSVP via your Paperless Post email invitation by October 1, 2026. This is also the deadline to secure your room through Denise. We encourage you not to wait — rooms are limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
